El Instituto Nacional de Vías (Invías) anuncia el cierre parcial de la vía Mojarras – Popayán entre el km 8 + 0683 y el km 8+0939 en el puente Dos Ríos, sector Galindez (departamento del Cauca), hasta el 25 de marzo, mientras se adelantan trabajos de rehabilitación del puente. La medida, también establece el cierre total del corredor los días 30 de enero, 1 febrero y 3 de febrero entre las 8:00 a.m. y 1 p.m.
La ministra de transporte, Ángela María Orozco Gómez, aseguró: “El Gobierno nacional, está comprometido con la seguridad vial del país, por eso, aunamos todos nuestros esfuerzos a través del Invías para que se realicen las obras necesarias para que los usuarios de los diversos corredores como el Mojarras – Popayán cuenten con estructuras en buen estado”. .
El director técnico del Invías, Guillermo Toro Acuña, manifestó: “La medida se toma con el ánimo de ejecutar los trabajos de rehabilitación del puente Dos Ríos, ubicado en el sector de Galindez, que comprenden la recuperación de los elementos de la estructura con actividades como: reubicación de elementos desplazados, rehabilitación de diagonales cizalladas, rehabilitación de verticales, retiro de juntas e instalación de elementos nuevos”
