Parece que la labor de zapa del Paquete de Movilidad no es solo cosa de los países del este de Europa. Ahora parece que Bélgica se suma a la tarea, aunque por otros motivos diferentes.
En concreto, las autoridades belgas han decidido recurrir ante el Tribunal de Justicia de la UE la regulación del cabotaje que hace el Paquete de Movilidad.
Bélgica no está de acuerdo con el «período de enfriamiento» de cuatro días introducido en el nuevo marco legal del transporte antes de que se puedan realizar más operaciones de cabotaje dentro del mismo país y por ese motivo ha decidido plantear una batalla judicial, según informa Fenadismer.
Así pues, la iniciativa belga se suma a la ofensiva de Polonia, Rumanía, Bulgaria, Lituania, Hungría y Malta, que se han posicionado contra la obligatoriedad de la vuelta a casa, alegando un mayor impacto medioambiental de esta medida concreta que, sin embargo, tenía el objetivo inicial de evitar que las flotas de transporte matriculadas en dichos países, trabajen de forma continua en otros Estados miembros.
El Paquete de Movilidad, clave de bóveda de la regulación europea del mercado de transporte, vive en el alero desde su aprobación. Antes, la pugna entre las diferentes visiones existentes condujo a la elaboración de un conjunto normativo que no ha sido del algrado de todos y que genera gran controversia.
